Like any true fashion enthusiast, I have many icons. My top most influential style icons have motivated me to become more creative with my style. I’m insatiably obsessed with all things Victoria Beckham - both, the designer and her designs. Beckham's chic factor never diminished. She possesses poise and elegance in spades & this is reflected in her tailored style. I love Charlize Theron’s red carpet style. The statuesque Hollywood blonde possesses an elegance of feminine and impeccable taste in fashion. My next style icon is Gigi Hadid, supermodel and ‘it’ girl. I’m inspired by her sporty-glam. Blake Lively hits the right sartorial notes every single time whether it’s her ultra-glamorous red carpet looks, über trendy street-style or her enviable maternity fashion. Our own Laura Whitmore is another major contender in the style steaks, always so on trend. When it comes to the fashion elite the list could go on and on!
My style philosophy would be to never define your personal style. Be whatever you want. I have a very playful take on fashion. I love clothes that make me feel sophisticated, but I also love items of clothing that inject flamboyant personality and funky vibes. I incorporate so many different elements into my daily style. It can vary from minimalist - paired back style, neutral tones and simple silhouettes to trendier eye-catching embroidery, colourful midi skirts & statement sleeves and hats – I LOVE A TRENDY HAT! Instagram has inspired me to try more things in fashion and embrace something new trends and to push my boundaries. Another source of inspiration can also come from my favourite celebs. The only catch is I definitely can’t afford the price tag they pay, so I try and find less expensive alternatives on the high street – Love a CHALLENGE and a BARGAIN!
Fashion is an art, it is continually evolving, and Willow is on the pulse of this. Willow boasts a broad spectrum of styles, from feminine fashion, chic clothing right the way through to more contemporary classic designs. They provide accessible fashion. What I’ve come to realise is that colours, prints, oversized tailoring, boyfriend blazers and midi lengths are what I love and turn to time and time again and I adore Willow as they always have unique quirky pieces that are LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT!! The chic interior of the store is vibrant and inviting making it very difficult to leave without picking up something (Promise I’m not a SHOPALCOHOLIC 😊).
A fashion blog is a pretty random concept considering I work for a multinational computer technology company (nerdy much 😊). I am a truly girlie girl at heart and always expressed a major interest in the fashion/ beauty industry. It is imperative you always let your creative side shine through. My journey to finding my creative outlet began when I returned to modelling/fashion/TV work/ with Catwalk Modeling Agency here in Galway. I gained the confidence to start my fashion blog in late 2018. I thoroughly enjoy the creative element of generating content, outfits planning, personal styling and coming up with creative ideas for photo shoots. It’s true form of self-expression and I’m loving all the wonderful people and brands I have become affiliated with along the way – of course Willow #StyleAmbassador role being the No. 1 Highlight!
